Kevin Moylan Elected EESF Board of Regents Chairman
Kevinn Moylan Elected EESF Board of Regents Chairman April 24, 2007 Greetings! My name is Kevin Moylan and I am the 2007 Chairman of the Board of Regents for the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). I was elected Chairman in February during the EESF 2007 Annual Meeting but have served on the Board of Regents since 2000. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the elevator escalator industry for their commitment to the Foundation over the years. It is due in large part to the support of the industry and the industry associations that the Foundation has been successful. I am looking forward to working closely with you throughout the year to reach the Foundation’s goals. As I assume the role as chair I find the foundation in great shape, last year we enjoyed our strongest financial year to date. We raised more money than we expected, we spent less than we budgeted and ended the year with a substantial surplus, all firsts for the foundation. As the new Chairman, I intend to focus on increasing the scope of the Foundation’s programs. I have set a long term goal for EESF to reach every second grader in North America and have created committees to develop the resources needed to reach that goal. I have spent my 19 year career with the MTA–New York City Transit. I began as a helper and worked my way through the ranks reaching Superintendent five years ago. Currently, I am a member of the Elevator Conference of New York. I served on the Board of Directors from 1999 to 2006 and during that time was the Vice President and President of the organization. I am also a member of NAESA International and a Qualified Elevator Inspector. I currently live in New York. I am married to Laura Walsh-Moylan and have three children, Victoria, Kevin, Jr., and Mark.
